Dr. Harte conducts Veterans Administration (VA) mental health disability examinations, commonly referred to as Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations, for Veterans seeking service-connected disability benefits.

About Dr. Harte
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Harte is committed to helping clients live more purposeful, fulfilling, and rewarding lives. He is an expert in providing effective psychotherapy treatments that are backed by research and have been proven to produce results. He has over 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and presentations. His research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and featured in media outlets such as TIME, NBC, Fox News, Reuters, WebMD, and Men's Health. Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Harte worked as both a clinician and research scientist within the VA Medical Center in Boston. He served as the National Manager of all PTSD assessments for a $45 million VA-DoD Consortium, a large-scale initiative focused on advancing the assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder. He was previously an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine, and a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School. In these roles, he supervised clinical interns and postdoctoral fellows and instructed undergraduate, masters, and doctoral-level students.

Dr. Harte's Philosophy
Dr. Harte's approach to treatment is firmly grounded in science. He uses evidence-based psychotherapy and behavior change techniques that focus on modifying problematic thoughts and behaviors that contribute to emotional and behavioral problems like depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and other health conditions. His work is primarily rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is considered the "gold standard" therapy for mood and anxiety conditions. CBT entails learning to identify, challenge, and change the thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that keep you stuck, so that you can develop adaptive and effective ways to live your life in the most meaningful way possible. His style is practical, solution-focused, and goal-oriented, aimed at providing you with effective skills for sustained, long-term success.
